  HAZPAK
Municipalities spend a significant amount of money recycling and/or disposing of hazardous materials created in their jurisdiction. Often there are no recycling solutions and this material must be sent to special facilities for destruction or land-filling. In many areas, new legislation has forced recyclers to look for new methods of processing. EKO is pleased to introduce it's latest recycling solution: HAZPAK

HAZPAK briquetters provide recyclers with the opportunity to recycle some of these waste streams safely and efficiently. Simply load the material into the hopper and HAZPAK will do the rest.

Paint Cans
Paint cans are the single largest component of household hazardous waste. Many cans still contain paint and methods of recovery have been labour intensive. With HAZPAK, simply segregate latex and oil based cans and batch process each type. The liquid recovery system sends recovered paint directly to a holding tank without any exposure to the atmosphere. Briquetted cans are deposited into bins ready for recycling.

Full Aerosol Cans
Full aerosol cans offer unique challenges. These pressurized vessels must be handled with care because of their explosion potential. EKO has designed a system that will meet the most stringent regulations. All HAZPAK models feature explosion proof processing capability and guaranteed capture of liquids and volatile organic compounds (VOC's).

Recyclable Briquettes
HAZPAK's patented processing system maximizes the separation of the can from the contents. For all waste streams, the metal cans are compressed into very dense briquettes that can be recycled at steel mills or aluminum foundries.

A Profitable Recycling Solution
EKO is committed to recycling solutions that are not only good for the environment but also good for the bottom line. Revenue from metal briquette sales combined with significant service income will quickly make HAZPAK a profit generator.
