  Custom Designed EKO Systems
To meet the growing demands for new innovative densification equipment EKO's engineers will custom design densification equipment to meet your specific needs from recovery of valuable contents, safe guarding the environment, preventing environmental pollution, to recycling container materials in a briquette form ideal as steel or aluminium mill feed stock with maximum cash value.

Included in the ongoing technological research is the development of a WIRE PAK to process loose tire wire into a solid briquette form. Briquetted wire will instantly be converted from a disposal cost item to a saleable commodity for scrap tire recyclers.

Work is underway on the MUNIPAK to handle the compaction of general metal containers in municipal garbage into a high value steel feed stock briquette. In the design stage is a high capacity MUNIPAK which will be able to separate the contents and briquette 2 tons of consumer cans per hour.

On going research is underway to meet the growing demand for a broad range of densification and recovery systems including work on the DRUMPAK to handle 55 gallon steel drums and other large diameter metal containers. In development is a high-capacity DRUMPAK which will process 250 drums an hour, outputting a furnace ready briquette for steel mills.

Preliminary research has been completed on an EKO system to dewater sludges and metal fines, with a design target of a 98 per cent dry briquette. This would dramatically reduce disposal costs and result in a capital equipment payback within 12 to 18 months.

EKO densification technology offers as solution to product destruction to avoid product liability. Its closed densification systems can safely and securely densify such toxic materials as medical sharps, oil containers and train filters.

Research and development is also underway to find a way to densify radioactive materials in a safe and cost effective manner to address long term storage and recycling challenges.
